So first off I want to say I have been doing a horrible job of updating my blog, in my defense I haven’t had a computer for 3 months (yes i have more computer problems than anyone i know) but still my blog is called start with the small my first blog was saying how we need to be faithful in the small so that we prove to God we can handle bigger things. This is my small thing and I haven’t been faithful in the small. I now have a computer and I am going to start being more faithful.
We are called to be unashamed of the gospel (For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. ~Romans 1:16) But how many of us actually are truly unashamed? Most of us are to afraid to talk to people who might make fun of us, sure if we stand up and say please don’t cuss, gossip, drink, get high, do whatever is displeasing to God around me you will probably get made fun of, you might get bullied, but is that really so bad? We are called to not conform to the patterns of this world (Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~Romans 12:2) So ask people not to do those things in front of you and risk maybe getting made fun of or bullied. Yes bullying is horrible and I’ve been bullied its not fun, but if you think about what is happening in Iraq, what is happening and has been happening to Christians since the beginning. (“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.~ Matthew 5:11)
We not only need to be unashamed but we need to pray for the Christians who are being persecuted!
If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to persecute you?
This is one of my favorite songs called “Free in love” it talks about how I’m gonna love you because you are my enemy:
