He is Risen!

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. (Matthew 28:6)

Jesus is Risen, That is why we celebrate Easter, not for the chocolate, the bunny, the pretty dresses, no its because Jesus conquered the grave so we could spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

So remember Christmas is good and wonderful, but without Easter we would have no hope!

This blog was short, but to the point. Go spend time praising God with your family and friends 🙂

Christ is Risen!! Happy Easter to all

Should’ve been us on the cross

Today is the day of the last supper Jesus knew he would be betrayed and predicted it in Matthew 26

(Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus

14 Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

The Last Supper

17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

20 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.”

22 They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, “Surely you don’t mean me, Lord?”

23 Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

25 Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely you don’t mean me, Rabbi?”

Jesus answered, “You have said so.”

26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”

27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the[b] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial

31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:

“‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’[c]

32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”

34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”

35 But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.

36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

Jesus Arrested

47 While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” 49 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

50 Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.”[d]

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51 With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me. 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.”Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

Jesus Before the Sanhedrin

57 Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled. 58 But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.

59 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. 60 But they did not find any, though many false witnessescame forward.

Finally two came forward 61 and declared, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”

62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 63 But Jesus remained silent.

The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

64 “You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”[e]

65 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. 66 What do you think?”

“He is worthy of death,” they answered.

67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him 68 and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”

Peter Disowns Jesus

69 Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.

70 But he denied it before them all. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.

71 Then he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

72 He denied it again, with an oath: “I don’t know the man!”

73 After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, “Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away.”

74 Then he began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know the man!”

Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.)

I’m gonna go ahead and do Good Friday too because tomorrow I wont be on my computer.

(Judas Hangs Himself

27 Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans how to have Jesus executed. So they bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate the governor.

When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”

So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.” So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel, 10 and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”[a]

Jesus Before Pilate

11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

“You have said so,” Jesus replied.

12 When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?” 14 But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.

15 Now it was the governor’s custom at the festival to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.16 At that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Barabbas. 17 So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?” 18 For he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him.

19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dreambecause of him.”

20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

21 “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor.

“Barabbas,” they answered.

22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked.

They all answered, “Crucify him!”

23 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!” (they couldn’t give him an answer they just wanted him dead)

24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

25 All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!” (they were right His blood is on everyone, but don’t forget God let it happen)

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

The Soldiers Mock Jesus

27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. 31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

The Crucifixion of Jesus

32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. 33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”).34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. 35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there. 37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews. (They were mocking but it was true)

38 Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. 39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads 40 and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! (He could have, but He didn’t to save us from our sins) Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God! (He was/is/and always will be The Son of God)” 41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 42 “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

The Death of Jesus

45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[c] lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[d]

(God Had to forsake Jesus, because God can’t look at sin, and at the moment Jesus had every past/present/and future sin on him)

47 When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

48 Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. 49 The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[e] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

55 Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs. 56 Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph,[f] and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.

The Burial of Jesus

57 As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. 58 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. 59 Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,60 and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away. 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.)

God is so good God is our savior.

I urge you if you haven’t ask God into your heart, pray a simple prayer but only if you truly mean every word knowing you are a sinner, God is God and you need to be saved. Pray something along the lines of “God I know I am a sinner, I know you are the Savior. I want you to come into my heart and make me new) its very very simple and “once you are saved no one can remove your name from the Lambs book of life” (Revelation 3:4-6)

“Yet you have a few people in sardis who have not spoiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dress in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but I will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angel’s  Whoever has ears let them hear what the spirit says to the churches”

If you are a Christian Shine for God, be a witness in all you do, ask for forgiveness, pray continually (

      Rejoice always, pray

continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) and read your bible. Get to know God.

ImageThats pretty much all I have, that all I need. Remember today is a special day in history, remember today and tomorrow

Well First this is not in hate, in fact it is in love because what kind of Christian would i be if i didn’t share the truth, hoping people would learn it, and be saved from their sins to live in Heaven with God for Eternity.

In Romans 1:18-3218 it says that because people were sinning God gave them over to their sinful desires of their hearts do and that is what is happening to our country (The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.)
Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable (Leviticus 18:22)
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. (1 Corinthians 15:34)
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) Walking in the light meaning not living in sin.
” But you guys are telling them it’s okay to live in sin and not repent.. I mean yes we all sin i couldn’t agree more. I sin and i’m not afraid to admit that, but at the point in time when you begin to say it’s okay to live in sin you are going against what God says, He says in multiple places to repent of your sins and turn your ways to God. I’m not saying you can’t sin, and i’m not judging you for sinning, but what i am saying is that you need to repent your ways and try to turn to God, i admit there are things i struggle with like cussing, it is a constant fight for me, but i don’t give up and live in the sin, everyday i struggle and ask God to help me.. So i guess what I’m saying here is, don’t encourage people to sin.. tell them that they aren’t alone and help them get saved and come to God. For it says in 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” so you see he will cleanse us from all wickedness.”(Quote by my boyfriend in response to a debate we are having on if its ok to legalize gay marriage)Image but on the other hand if we do not repent he will not forgive us, and if we deny Him, He will also deny us in front of God in Heaven. (Matthew 10:33)
Here are a few verses talking more about what will happen if we don’t confess our sins and turn from our ways.
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. (John 3:4)

We should not deny them from church, but instead welcome them just like we do with everyone else, after all Church is not a museum for saints, but a hospital for the broken. But if they try to become a member, Deacon, leader, Teacher we must confront them, and even before they want to become an authority.

Also The old testament was written as laws before Jesus came and died on the cross, when He died, The curtain into the Holy of Holies was torn from the top to the bottom (Matthew 27:51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split) as a symbol we no longer needed a Priest to confess our sins to, but instead we can go straight to God, it also means that the old law (not eating pork, not cutting hair ect.) was broken UNLESS it was written in the new testament as well.
(this next part is also from my boyfriend-and partly from one of my mentors) “First Romans 6:1 “Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means!” Sure, if we ask for forgiveness, God is full of grace, and washes those sins away. We can’t keep living in sin just because God is going to forgive us, that’s not how this works. In Luke 9:23 it says “Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Satan does not stop with his attempts to drag us down, and we WILL make mistakes along the way. But turning towards God for that continual heart transformation is necessary!

Marriage IS defined between a man and a woman. God designed marriage to be models of Christ’s love for His church. Homosexual marriage is no different than a marriage with abuse or adultery. God does not rank these perversions of marriage from least to worst. As Christians, when we see the distortion of truth or notice a friend caught up in a sinful lifestyle, we are to encourage them to stay on the “narrow path.” Hebrews 3:13 “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” Christians are deemed hateful or judgmental if we stand against the homosexual lifestyle. However, our view of this lifestyle being a sin is only stating what has been written in scripture. We aren’t saying it in hate, only that we know that this is not the way God deems righteous for His people. 1Corinthians 6:9-11. Then read 1 Cor 6:12. “Everything is permissible for me-but not everything is beneficial.”

And the last verse i leave you with is this 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” The bottom line – we can’t pick and choose what we think is right from the bible.”

I’ve made my point, I’ve shown the light, and the truth which is God. (“I am the way the Truth and the Light, No man comes to The Father but by Me”-John 14:6)

I leave you with this
be a light, shine bright for God its not your job to save people in fact you cant, but it is your job to witness as often as possible.

Have a great Holy week and remember the reason for this season!

A wife of noble character who can find?

Proverbs 31:10-31 Talk about the kind of wife we should be, and for guys the kind of wife you should look for.

As little girls and even until we get married girls dream about their wedding and their husband, I don’t know about you but I want to be like the proverbs 31 wife. I want to be worth far more than rubies (Proverbs 31:10 A wife of noble character who can find?    She is worth far more than rubies.) and than can only be achieved by being noble, I want my husband to have full confidence in me. (Proverbs 31:11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.) and mostly I want to bring my husband good not harm (Proverbs 31:12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life)

The Proverbs 31 wife is the kind of wife I want to be, I want my children and my husband to arise and call be blessed (Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her)

“Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised”. (Proverbs 31:30)

Your makeup will wear off, your clothes will get dirty and go out of style but praising The Lord might not be the “cool” thing to do but the people who don’t once they die and go to hell your gonna be in the cool and they will be burning.

(Proverbs 11:22 “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion”)

So instead of worrying about your make up, hair, jewelry, clothes as much worry about your inside, your mind Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”), your heart (proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.), and your eyes (Matthew 18:9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.)

Cause we all make mistakes sometimes
And we’ve all stepped across that line
But nothing’s sweeter than the day we find
Forgiveness, forgiveness
And we all stumble and we fall
Bridges burn in the heat of it all
But nothing’s sweeter than the day
Sweeter than the day we call

Out for forgiveness
We all need, we all need
We all need forgiveness
We all need, we all need

(Forgiveness-TobyMac ft Lecrae)

The only person who has ever walked on this earth and not made a mistake is Jesus. We are not Jesus so we will fall and make mistakes we wish we could take back, but we can  never take them back. The only thing you can do when you make a mistake is to ask for forgiveness and learn from it in the future.

(1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”)

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved one’s qualities or actions.

There is only one person who can give you true unconditional love, your family or friends might be able to come close but they will mess up sometimes, but the one person who can give you true unconditional love forever and always His name is He gave up his crown in Heaven and came to this earth to be born of a virgin, live and then died on the cross for our sins but he rose again 3 days later. He’s alive and He is seated at the right hand of the God in Heaven.

He will give you complete unconditional love, meaning no matter what you do, how many times you fail, how many times you run away from Him, ignore him, or disrespect him He will not only always forgive you when you repent He will always love you and want you to come back to him.

This video is by the Skit Guys talking about the parable of the prodigal son http://youtu.be/HyVlF24u5dY
In this story we are the son, and Jesus is the Father.

So no matter what you’ve done, are doing, or are going to do God will forgive you when you repent and always love you! So come back home to Him!

This is a link to a video with Sidewalk Prophets song “Love me anyway” with the speaker Tony Nolan talking about him testimony, no matter what you’ve done or what has been done to you, you are forgivable, you are lovable and God wants to show you that. let Him, when the creator of the universe is trying to tell you your loved and forgiven its a pretty cool thing. And He is telling all of us.

Today I was planning for a bible study I’m having next week, I was getting videos together and a lot of the ones i found were about baggage.

We have two choices when people say something that hurts us, we can either forgive them (

Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.) (Luke 6:29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them) Or you can take the words to heart and pick up some “baggage.”
Most of the time we chose to take the words to heart and pick up baggage, throughout our whole lives we usually just keep picking up more and more baggage, it gets heavier and heavier but we just keep going, we all usually try and hide our baggage because we’re ashamed of it.
But why do we keep our baggage? and keep picking up more and more? when most of us have heard the truth that God will take it from us (Psalm 55:22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.)
Plus why don’t we not forgive people? there is a wonderful feeling that happens when you forgive someone or let something go. I’ve heard it explained before “that not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die” When we don’t forgive someone or let something go it slowly eats away at you and it destroys you, but when you lets things go and give all your burdens to God you feel free and its wonderful.
Dara Maclean’s has a song called suitcases and it says “you can’t run when your holding suitcases” which is true, have you ever seen someone try to run with a suitcase? its rather amusing I must say, but its almost impossible to actually run when holding a suitcase. So if you have baggage you can’t run or be free. So be free put down your suitcases give them to God, He died so you could give him your burdens (John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.)
